Vonnegut Library Volunteers
The Kurt Memorial Vonnegut Library is always in search for volunteers to help with library operations and special events. From greeters to community outreach, we have room for anyone interested in carrying Vonnegut’s legacy of common decency.

Spanish-speaking Tour Guides
The library would like to offer tours for Spanish-speaking visitors. We seek volunteers who are fluent in Spanish to lead these tours, which would be by appointment only to work within your schedule.

To open the doors of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library and to provide robust programming, we rely on the financial support of individual donors, foundations and companies. Contributions to the library are tax deductible as allowable by law. Please note, however, that there are certain limitations on the deductibility of contributions to all Code Section 501(c)(3) organizations. Accordingly, consult your own tax advisor in determining the federal, state, local and/or foreign tax consequences of your contribution. Thank you for your support!
Your will is an expression of the values and beliefs that have guided your life and is an excellent way to provide for those individuals, organizations and causes that have been important to you.
The Vonnegut Library supports language and visual arts education through programs and outreach designed to foster a strong arts community. We seek to inspire and promote insightful writing and to engage people in thinking about and expressing themselves with the written word.
Please consider including the library in your estate plans. If you have already made a bequest or plan to do so, let us know; we would like to express our gratitude to you now for your generosity.
A provision for the Vonnegut Library can be made in your will with language as simple as:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library, 340 N. Senate Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46204, an Indiana not-for-profit organization, the sum of $____ (dollar amount) or ____% (percentage) of my estate (or residue of my estate) for the purpose of supporting the programs, activities, and operations of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library.”
The Vonnegut Library is an IRS 501(c)(3) organization.
