A copy of Clemens Vonnegut pamphlet on humanism and how one can be a good person without religion is at the Indiana Historical Society library. Please read, discuss or possibly post this on your website.

Reading through this forty page tract it is readily apparent that Vonnegut's humanism was already "in the family".

Reading Mark Twain's Connecticut Yankee at King Aruthur's Court also allows you to understand why Kurt Vonnegut named his son Mark...The combination of Mark Twain and Clemons Vonnegut put Kurt Jr. on second base -no wonder he could hit so many home runs. Lots of Vonnegut material is at the Lily Library in case you aren't aware of the exhibition that they put on curated entirely by student interns.
Perhaps you can scan some of this material-I think there are early drafts of various books.
Yes, Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and all the references he made to Indianapolis makes this a perfect project. You might also find some of the articles he wrote for the Shortridge Echo. This is where he would have come in contact with Madelyn Pugh who wrote all the I Love Lucy shows.
