Diversity Statement

Kurt Vonnegut said, “New knowledge is the most valuable commodity on earth. The more truth we have to work with, the richer we become.”

The staff, boards, and volunteers of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library believe that every individual brings new knowledge for each of us to use. We also believe that each of us as human beings has a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times. Thus, we are committed to encouraging the respectful participation of everyone in our efforts.

We embrace differences in age, color, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make human beings unique.
