May 26 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join Novelist Paul Auster, Kurt Vonnegut’s son and the writer and physician, Mark Vonnegut, and graphic writer Ryan North (who is currently adapting Slaughterhouse-Five) for a roundtable reading of one of the many commencement speeches Vonnegut delivered during his lifetime that are newly collected in the paperback edition of If This Isn’t Nice, What Is?, edited by Dan Wakefield.
Free for students and $15 for family, friends and Vonnegut fans. There will be a special roll call of all graduates who join the party.
The event is part of a month-long celebration of the Class of 2020 by the Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library and Seven Stories Press, who are co-hosting live graduation events every Tuesday in May. The Tuesday, May 26th event will feature musician David Sasso, writer Lee Stringer who collaborated on the book, Like Shaking Hands with God, with Kurt, and others.
And to add to the fun, our friend Ed Battista, owner of Bluebeard restaurant in Indianapolis, and his team have created a signature cocktail and virgin cocktail for these special Kurt Vonnegut Graduation Parties. Grab a ticket and the recipe is yours!
