November 2010 Wrap-up

November 2010 has been a big month at the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library. The anniversary of Vonnegut’s birth was November 11. Two “sneak peaks” of the library were held on November 11 and November 12. Also, Corey Dalton posted to the KVML blog on November 23 a review of Sirens of Titan as part of his ongoing project devoted to reading Vonnegut’s works in order of publication. Links to all of these posts are below. For those of you who couldn’t attend either of the preview parties and/or don’t live in Indianapolis, I especially encourage you to check out the posts regarding the preview events. There are some great pictures. (And don’t forget our Facebook page! Quite a few photos of the library reside there, too.)

As November 2010 comes to an end, I’d like to offer one additional treat for all of you Vonnegut fans out there. Check out Issue Number 26 of Ninth Letter. It features an unusual tribute to Vonnegut by Marsha Koretzky entitled “Kurt Vonnegut Didn’t Know Doodly-Squat About Writing: Finally, Literary Analysis Worth Reading.”  Hope you’ll enjoy it!
