A Show of Common Decency in the Name of Kurt!
Hats off to all who helped make our 2017 Year of Vonnegut such a success! It truly takes a village – many hands, many minds, and endless time and dedication. Thanks to all of you once again for your continued support of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library!
We want to thank our co-sponsors Mayor Joe Hogsett with the City of Indianapolis and the folks at Visit Indy for their support and creative marketing efforts, as well as our other Year of Vonnegut Sponsors – Frank and Katrina Basile, the KVML Board of Directors, Parr Richey Frandsen Patterson and Kruse, arcDESIGN, Michael G. Browning, Nogginwerks, Shiel Sexton, Blue & Co, Janie and Mickey Maurer, two Anonymous Donors, Penguin Random House, Private Client Group Re/Max Ability Plus, The Great Frame Up, Jane Easter of Easter Conservation Services, and the many, many vendors who donated food, beverages, and other services throughout the year, including items for Night of Vonnegut silent auction.
Thanks to all the behind-the-scenes people including Katz Korin Cunningham, the KVML staff, our truly awesome Year of Vonnegut Committee, and dozens of committed volunteers. You are amazing.
Of course, we couldn’t have pulled off all the wonderful programming without the dedicated sponsors and participants in 93 different programs throughout the year. You blow us away with your precious gifts of time and talent.
And then there are all of you who provided the treasure – from large and small organizations that provided generous and much-needed grants and funding to individuals who contributed through museum admissions, memberships, and monetary donations, including contributions toward our $65,000 Kickstarter campaign. You love Kurt Vonnegut. We love Kurt Vonnegut, and we all came together in this 2017 Year of Vonnegut to celebrate and make a difference in our community. There’s no better show of common decency than that!
