Chris Gahl serves as senior vice president of marketing & communications for Visit Indy, where he has been for the last 11 years. Before joining Visit, he was part owner of a marketing firm in Honolulu, helping Hawaii tourism. In 2012, he helped lead public relations for the Super Bowl Host Committee. In 2013, Chris was named a “40 Under 40” business leader by the Indianapolis Business Journal. In 2014, he was a member of the Stanley K. Lacy Leadership Class. In 2015, he co-chaired the city’s Plan 2020 Love Indy committee. In 2016, he helped launch the city’s Film Indy initiative, helping attract TV and film-related production to Indy. During his tenure, Visit Indy has produced record-setting sales & marketing results, including USA Today naming Indy the “#1 Convention City in the U.S.” He holds a degree in communications from Butler University and sits on the board of directors for Heartland Film.
