A founding member of the Vonnegut Library, Kip Tew is an attorney and also serves as an Indianapolis City-County Councilor. A graduate of North Central High School, Kip earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. After graduating from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Kip served in the administration of former Gov. Evan Bayh. He also has held various political leadership positions in the last 20 years. Kip’s board service includes the State Office Building Commission, the Marion County Recreational Use Facilities Board, the Board of Public Works, the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, and the Center for Civic Leadership. He has held leadership positions for the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library Board, the Fathers and Families Center Board, and the John Strange Elementary Dads Club. Kip and his wife, Robin, live in Broad Ripple with their elementary school-age daughter. He also has two adult children.
